Scrolls

The following types of scroll can be found: ancient, charred, crincly, cryptic, decayed, faded, flimsy, folded, hemp, leather, ornate, papyrus, prose, ragged, runic, shiny, silken, smudged, stained, vellum, wordy, and woven.
alliance charms monsters
blessing blesses or improves an object
cartography maps the level
destruction destroys an object
dispel hex removes hex or curse on objects
enchantment enchants an object
extinction genocides a race
flame burns you
identification identifies object(s)
knowledge you gain an ability or skill
lava strike creates lava around you
pure evil never good
recall transports you to homing location
recharging recharges an object
summoning summons monsters to help you
switch bodies takes over another creature
time stop freezes all monsters and time counter, may summon time lord
transport transports you to the Bazaar and back to where you came from
trap generation creates traps around you
traveling teleports you
twelve gates creates monsters around you
wonder changes the terrain, animates objects, creates trees, ploymorphs you, makes flasks of potions, bless if hoping for a good polymorph

Wands

The following types of wand can be found: alder, ash, beech, birch, elder, elm, fir, forked, hazel, larch, laurel, linden, long, maple, oak, pine, poplar, runed, short, spruce, walnut, willow, and yew.
amusement evil wand
annihilation destroys V-shaped part of level
armoring improves armour class
cancellation cancels magical abilities
chaos arbitrary: sometimes good, sometimes bad: may cancel need for food, summon monsters, change you, or create objects
deanimation turns undead (this includes destroying them outright)
death kills creatures
displacement teleports creatures
evocation creates monsters
fire incinerates something
flaying acid attack: severs monsters, may reduce armour
hastening improves speed
healing heals creatures
ice freezes something
light lights an area
polymorph changes something, including yourself or monsters
restoration restores you to your original form
sleep puts creatures to sleep
stoning turns creatures to stone
transmutation changes the terrain
trap detection you find traps in sight
tunneling digs holes or corridors
wands duplicates random other wand
wishing you may make a wish

Rings

The following types of ring can be found: agate, beryl, bone, emerald, garnet, gold, jade, jasper, jet, kunzite, onyx, opal, pearl, peridot, ruby, sard, silver, and topaz.
agility improves your armour class
soul trapping traps souls of creatures killed
ashes gives you resistance to heat
crystal skin gives you resistance to acid
delusion identifies as another ring, but isn't
draining drains your hit points quickly
famine makes you consume food quickly
genesis creates monsters once in a while
immunity gives you resistance to poison
insulation gives you resistance to cold
invisibility makes you invisible
locus mastery gives you teleport control
protection detects traps and hidden dangers
purity and luck always a ring of delusion
regeneration makes you gain hit points quickly
relocation teleports you now and then
third sight makes you see invisible creatures

Amulets

eternal life its owner will never perish
ethereality the wearer can walk through any obstacle
Eye of Sertrud undetermined powers, can be exchanged for something else by Thor
holding worthless gem, prevents teleport (?)
infravision extends the visual range of the wearer
might increases the wearer's strength by 15
quickening you gain ten speed levels (starting speed is 10), runs out and becomes an Eye of Sertrud

Food

black mushroom lose some hit points, gain heat vision for a while
bleached root may increase constitution by 2-5 hit points
clay lump stops stoning if eaten in time
food ration bland but filling

urn (orange p.) 20% chance of gaining night vision (you can supposedly see better in mist)
